UFC Philadelphia Live Results

Two of the best kickers and lightweight talents will take to the Octagon in the headline bout of UFC Philadelphia, taking place on March 30 from the Wells Fargo Center.

Edson Barboza and Justin Gaethje, both coming off knockout wins, are set to do battle in the City of Brotherly Love in the main event. With Barboza ranked No. 6 and Gaethje at No. 8, a big win by either man could cement themselves into the top-5 and bring himself one step closer to a title shot.

Barboza was victorious in his last outing at UFC Milwaukee, defeating Dan Hooker with a hard punch to the body. That win helped him rebound from a pair of back-to-back losses at the hands of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Kevin Lee. Despite those losses, Barboza has still won seven of his last 11 fights, scoring wins over Anthony Pettis, Gilbert Melendez and Beneil Dariush over that span. His flying knee knockout of Dariush earned him a performance bonus, while his win over Paul Felder and loss to Tony Ferguson were each given Fight of the Night honors.

While Gaethje is just 2-2 since coming over to the UFC from World Series of Fighting (now the Professional Fighters League), he has earned a post-fight bonus in every single one of his bouts in the Octagon. Like Barboza, Gaethje earned a knockout win in his last outing that snapped a string of back-to-back losses. Gaethje needed less than 90 seconds to defeat James Vick back in August at UFC Lincoln, earning a performance bonus. Gaethje also earned a performance bonus in his UFC debut back in July 2017, when he defeated Michael Johnson at the TUF 25 Finale. His then-undefeated record came to an end in his next fight against Eddie Alvarez, followed by a loss to Dustin Poirier, but both of those matches were still named Fight of the Night.
