UFC Plans Two Mexico Events In 2025

The UFC is reportedly planning two events in Mexico for 2025.

According to Laro Sports’ Alfredo Bush, the UFC wants a card in Guadalajara. A September date is being targeted for what would be UFC Noche 3. It follows the success of the UFC’s first-ever combat sports event at The Sphere, which the Saudis sponsored, as it was rebranded to Riyadh Season Noche.

The event set a UFC live gate record of $22 million, which is impressive since it was going up against Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga’s boxing fight. The event was headlined by Sean O’Malley vs. Merab Dvalishvili as the latter won a unanimous decision (49-46, 48-47, 48-47) to become the new UFC Bantamweight Champion.

The new Arena Guadalajara, which holds 20,000, is reportedly under consideration. The other event being lined up is in Mexico City for March 29. This would be the UFC’s first return since last year when Brandon Royval defeated Brandon Moreno by a split decision (48-47, 46-49, 48-47) in the main event. Fans were looking forward to the upcoming fights.
