UFC Predictions For 2022: Amanda Nunes To Get Her Revenge, Sean Strickland To Be Title Challenger

2021 was a great year for MMA fans, but 2022 looks even more promising. Fans can only hope for bigger and entertaining fights, so here’s some to possibly hope for.

Giga Chikadze Will Beat Calvin Kattar, Earn Title Shot

Giga Chikadze and Calvin Kattar will be the first-ever headliners of the 2022 UFC season. On January 15, they will fight in a five-rounder battle at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Chikadze will earn the victory in this bout for several reasons.

First, from the stylistic point of view, Kattar is a boxer who uses his hands only while Chikadze has many varieties of combinations. He can fight from the southpaw and fight from the orthodox stance.

His famous signature kick, known as “Giga Kick,” is a problem to every fighter because they don’t know if he is aiming for the liver or head.

From the official stats, Chikadze has a 5CM longer reach, but Chikadze is using his reach more effectively, while Kattar is not using his reach because of his fighting style.

Even if we forget about the styles, Kattar suffered some serious injuries after the fight against Max Holloway. Even a fighter like Tony Ferguson, who is known for his crazy abilities, could not manage to fight as he was used to fighting before, after suffering a brutal defeat from Justin Gaethje.

If Chikadze wins this fight, he will most likely earn the title shot

Amanda Nunes To Get Revenge Vs Julianna Pena

Amanda Nunes will fight against Julianna Pena and will get her belt back.

Nunes was used to fighting in 145-pound fights. It was the best performance of Pena and one of the worst performances of Nunes, so in the rematch, Nunes will come differently.

Aljamain Sterling To Change Weight

Merab Dvalishvili and Petr Yan will fight after Aljamain Sterling changes the weight category.

Win or lose, Aljamain will change the weight category one day because he is big, and he also mentioned that he wants to give his close friend and sparring partner, Dvalishvili, the opportunity to fight for the belt. And who should he fight for the belt if not Yan?

Even if Sterling will not fight against Yan, there is already a lot of hype around Dvalishvili and Yan to make it happen.

Sean Strickland Will Be A Title Challenger

Sean Strickland will be one of the title challengers by the end of the year.

He will defeat Jack Hermanson because he defeated Brendan Allen, who has the same fighting style.

Strickland has trash talk, hype, great fighting style and excellent striking skills to compete with Israel Adesanya, so it will be one of the most highly anticipated fights if Adesanya defends his belt against Robert Whittaker. He could earn another knockout.
