UFC President Dana White, Tests Positive For Covid-19, But Feels Like A ‘Million Bucks’ Thanks To Joe Rogan
UFC President Dana White is in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19.
White, 52, told “The Jim Rome Podcast” that he and his immediate family tested positive after spending the Thanksgiving holiday together in Maine. White said he is vaccinated.
But the promotion president said he is already feeling better and wants to attend UFC Vegas 44 on Saturday in Las Vegas if he tests negative.
“You’re supposed to stay home and stay away from other people for 10 days,” White said. “That’s what I’m doing. If I test negative, then I will absolutely, positively be there. I’ll keep testing every two days until I’m negative and then I’m going to get back to work ASAP.”
White called his friend and UFC commentator Joe Rogan for advice following his positive test. Rogan previously had Covid-19.
White has taken a monocular antibody treatment, NAD drip, vitamin drip and dose of ivermectin. He said he feels like “a million bucks.” He temporarily lost his sense of smell.
The UFC has been active during the pandemic while many major sports had shutdown. The promotion partnered with the government of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and hosted live events on Fight Island as well as its Apex facility in Las Vegas.
Upcoming live events include this Saturday, UFC 269 pay-per-view on December 11 in Las Vegas and a UFC Fight Night on December 18 at the Apex.
