UFC Raises PPV Prices Ahead Of McGregor Return
When the deal between the UFC transitioning all of their Pay Per View distribution to ESPN+ earlier this year, ESPN+ made the move of lowering the price from $64.99 to $59.99.
Now, less than a year after lowering the price, and just under a month until Conor McGregor returns in the headlining fight of UFC 246, the price has reverted to $64.99.
“This price change represents a return to the price that UFC fans traditionally paid, prior to ESPN+ decreasing the PPV price for most of 2019,” a rep for ESPN told Variety.
While the price does not include the extra $4.99 per month it costs for UFC fans to have access to ESPN+, the Disney owned platform is offering new subscribers the PPV and a one-year subscription to ESPN+ for $84.98, while current subscribers will have to pay the full price for the card from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
****Update:*****
ESPN+ costs only $4.99 per month, and not $7.99 as written earlier.
And ESPN+ and not the UFC have adjusted the price.
