UFC Returning To Saskatoon For The First Time Since 2015

After three events in Canada in 2019, the UFC will be making its first stop of 2020 over at The City of Bridges. MMAFighting were the first to report that the UFC will be heading to Saskatoon in Saskatchewan. The scheduled date being talked about is June 20.

When the UFC went to Saskatoon in 2015 the main event was Max Holloway v. Charles Oliveira. Holloway won the fight via TKO in the first round after it was revealed that Oliveira had a neck injury. In the co-main event, Neil Magny beat Erick Silva via split decision. The attendance for the event was 7,202, while the gate was $720,000, which equalled $949,000 Canadian.

The last time the UFC was in Canada was UFC 240 in Edmonton, Alberta. Cris Cyborg won her last fight in the UFC against Felicia Spencer and Holloway defeated Frankie Edgar via unanimous decision to retain his UFC Featherweight Championship. The attendance for the event was 12,144 and the gate was $1.4 million.
