UFC Rio Rancho: Attendance, Gate, Bonuses
The Santa Ana Star Center in New Mexico had a total attendance of 6,449 that came to UFC Rio Rancho, which took place on February 15, and was headlined by Jan Blachowicz knocking out Corey Anderson in the first round. The co-headliner was Diego Sanchez taking on Michael Pereira.
The gate for the event was $596,820.
Performances bonuses went to Jan Blachowicz and Daniel Rodriguez. Blachowicz (26-8) knocked out Corey Anderson with a vicious punch in the main event. By doing so, Blachowicz is now on a three-fight win streak, and is 7-1 in his last eight fights.
Rodriguez (11-0) fought in the main event of the prelims, submitting Tim Means. The welterweight prospect joined the card on a few week’s notice, but you wouldn’t have known that by seeing his performance. Outclassing Means in the first, Rodriguez landed nasty shots by the cage before submitting him with a standing guillotine choke. It was his first major win with the UFC.

Fight of the Night went to Jim Miller v. Scott Holzman. Both lightweight fighters put on a solid performance against one another, landing nasty shots all over the place. Following a back and forth affair, Holtzman ended up edging Miller via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).
Holtzman (14-3) is now on a two-fight win streak and is 5-1 in his last six fights. The two-fight win streak of Miller (31-14, 1NC) ended with the loss, and he is now 3-2 in his last five fights.
