UFC San Antonio: Edwards Dominates Dos Anjos

Leon Edwards pulled off perhaps the biggest performance of his MMA career and in turn scored a big win, dominating former UFC lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos in the UFC San Antonio main event.

Edwards dictated the pace from the start with an early takedown and staying in top game. Edwards busted RDA up in the second and stuffed all of the Brazilian’s takedown attempts over the next couple of rounds.

RDA did manage to land his own shots, including elbows from his own top game, but Edwards didn’t really lose control. Edwards managed to out clinch RDA and kept his distance to tag RDA in the final two rounds, going on to nearly sweep the judges’ scorecards.

The co-main event saw Walt Harris deliver the third-fastest knockout in UFC heavyweight division history, stopping Alexei Oleinik with a knee and strikes in just 12 seconds.

The main card also saw Greg Hardy’s third official UFC bout, as he also got a knockout in less than a minute in his win over Juan Adams.
