UFC Senior Exec Joe Carr Leaves Promotion

UFC Senior Vice President and Head of Content and International is leaving the organization, according to MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani. The UFC confirmed the news shortly after.

Carr marks the latest in a series of departures of high-profile executives and front office employees within the past year, since WME-IMG’s purchase of the fighting promotion in July 2016. Some of these executives were cut by the newer UFC owners, while others, such as former UFC matchmaker Joe Silva and former public relations figurehead Dave Sholler, were an individual’s choice.

According to Helwani, Carr resigned from his position.

Carr first arrived to the UFC in 2012 after a career in real estate. He was in charge of expanding international ventures, as well as the UFC Fight Pass service.
