UFC Signapore: Attendance, Gate & Bonuses
While the main event was not the most overall impressive, 8,414 filled the Singapore Indoor Arena for UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Correia. The live crowd brought in a gate of $1,160,793 Singapore dollars, which is approximately $839,300 in American dollars.
Performance bonuses went to Holly Holm and Ulka Sasaki. In the headline bout of the event, Holm took on Bethe Correia. There was not too much action throughout the first two rounds, prompting a referee’s warning in the second round. In the third round, however, Correia overconfidently showed off and taunted Holm. When Correia was finished taunting, Holm delivered a hard head kick and punch for a knockout. Holm snapped a three-fight losing skid with this win.
Sasaki, meanwhile, took on Justin Scoggins during the undercard portion of the event. After clearly losing the first round to Scoggins, Sasaki managed to get Scoggins’ back during the second, eventually scoring a rear-naked choke submission win.
The bout featuring Li Jingliang and Frank Camacho earned Fight of the Night honors. Jingliang won the bout via unanimous decision, with the judges scoring in his favor 29-27, 29-27, and 28-27.
Holm, Sasaki, Jingliang and Camacho all earned $50,000 bonuses onto their fight earnings.
