UFC Signs Unbeaten Prospect Asaf Chopurov For UFC 333

The UFC has signed unbeaten bantamweight prospect Asaf Chopurov (11-0), with the 24-year-old expected to make his promotional debut at UFC 333 on October 24 in Abu Dhabi.

Chopurov is expected to face Colby Thicknesse (9-1) on a card headlined by featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski defending his title against Movsar Evloev.

The Azerbaijani enters the UFC having finished 10 of his 11 professional victories, with five knockouts and five submissions. He won the vacant UAE Warriors bantamweight championship against Demarte Pena in 2025 and has since successfully defended the title twice.

Chopurov most recently defended the belt with a first-round knockout of former ONE Championship title challenger Reece McLaren in July.

His expected opponent, Thicknesse, has lost just once in 10 professional fights.
