UFC Strawweight Champ Mackenzie Dern Teases WWE Future and Rousey Fight

UFC women’s strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern (17-5) is considering a move to WWE once she decides to retire from MMA.

Dern, 33, pointed to WWE stars Nikki and Brie Bella when asked about potentially transitioning into professional wrestling, describing the possibility as “so much fun.”

Dern also has aspirations of facing UFC Hall of Famer and inaugural UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (who also had a stint in WWE) in an exhibition, despite the significant difference in their fighting weights.

“Ronda Rousey is a lot bigger, but it would have been amazing to do like an exhibition match with her,” Dern said.

Rousey fought primarily at 135 pounds during her UFC career, though her most recent bout, against Gina Carano earlier this year, was at 145 pounds.

Dern won the UFC strawweight championship with a unanimous decision over Virna Jandiroba in October 2025. She made her first successful defense on August 15, defeating Gillian Robertson by unanimous decision at UFC 330 and extending her current winning streak to four fights.
