UFC to Donate $1M to Las Vegas Victims

The UFC has made Las Vegas, Nevada its home for decades, and now the company is giving back to the community as it faces its lowest moment.

The promotion will donate one million dollars to the families of the victims of Sunday night’s mass shooting, where over 50 were killed and more than 500 were injured.

UFC President Dana White told the Las Vegas Review Journal about the donation on Monday.

UFC 216, which takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday, will go forward as scheduled, per a statement released to Yahoo’s Kevin Iole:

“Our focus right now is on supporting the community and those affected by Sunday evening’s events,” the statement read. “UFC 216 on Saturday, October 7 at T-Mobile Arena will proceed as scheduled until further notice.”
