UFC To Spend $700,000 On New Grass For White House
Dana White has said the UFC will spend $700,000 to repair and replace the grass that will be damaged by the installation of the Octagon and other structures on the South Lawn for the UFC White House event next June.
The event, announced by White and President Donald Trump, will be part of the nation’s celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. White has already disclosed some of his plans for the event, which includes a huge arch and lighting grid over the Octagon, an exclusive crowd of under 5,000 people on the south lawn, stages for concerts and large screens for up to 85,000 spectators and much more. However, that is not without its challenges, as White gave a sneak peak into the financials involved in creating a massive event.
“This is just one little piece I was talking about last night: To replace the grass, because we’re going to f— up the South Lawn, $700,000 just to replace the grass,” White saidÂ
