UFC Vancouver Live Results
Two of the most exciting combatants in the UFC today will throw down, each looking for a spot near the top of the lightweight rankings, as the UFC comes to the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
In the main event of UFC Vancouver, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, who holds the records for most wins and finishes in UFC history, will square off against Justin Gaethje, who has put on show after show since his Octagon debut in 2017.
After struggles at welterweight in 2017 and 2018, Cerrone seemed to find a new energy after the birth of his son, and even more so when he returned to lightweight earlier this year. Cerrone bested Alexander Hernandez at UFC Brooklyn before picking apart Al Iaquinta in a decision win at UFC Ottawa in May. “Cowboy” then matched up with Tony Ferguson at UFC 238 in June, losing via doctor’s stoppage after his right eye closed up.
Gaethje has only had five fights in the UFC thus far, but he’s put on quite the performances in them, earning six post-fight bonuses already. After his exciting debut win against Michael Johnson, Gaethje would go toe-to-toe with Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier in respective wars at UFC 218 and UFC Glendale, coming up short both times — the first two losses of Gaethje’s career. Since then, however, “The Highlight” has rebounded with quick first-round knockouts of James Vick and Edson Barboza at UFC Lincoln and UFC Philadelphia, respectively.
