UFC Vegas 24 Bout Canceled Due To Missed Weight

One fight scheduled for the UFC Vegas 24 card has been canceled.

UFC Vegas 24 will take place on Saturday, April 17. In the main event, middleweights Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum will finally share the Octagon. The event will also see Jeremy Stephens and Drakkar Klose do battle.

One fight that will not be taking place is Zarah Fairn vs. Josiane Nunes. That’s because Fairn missed weight by eight pounds. The UFC issued the following brief statement.

“Due to weight management issues with Zarah Fairn, the bout with Josiane Nunes has been canceled.”

Fairn tipped the scales at 147 pounds, whiffing the catchweight limit of 139 pounds. Her opponent, Nunes, made weight at 136 pounds. This was going to be a bantamweight fight before it was changed to a catchweight bout.
