UFC Veteran Ovince Saint Preux Not Fighting Newcomer Philipe Lins

The week’s Fight Night is short a fighter.

UFC veteran Ovince Saint Preux (25-16) has pulled out from his light heavyweight bout against new member of the UFC Philipe Lins (14-5).

It is not known yet if the promotion is looking for a new opponent for Lins or the bout will be postponed.

Saint Preux suffered a loss three times from his previous five contests. Currently, he is on two-fight losing streak against Jamahal Hill and Tanner Boser.

In both fights, he suffered a KO loss in the second round. His last celebration inside the octagon was against Alonzo Menifield when he earned a second-round brutal KO victory in September 2020.

Lins signed in the UFC as a LFA champion.

In 2020, he fought twice in this promotion and suffered losses against former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski and Boser.

The 36-year-old Brazilian has earned 14 victories during his career and sustained five losses. He fought in Bellator before signing in LFA.

UFC Fight Night 197 will take place this Saturday at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The headlining of the event will be a highly anticipated featherweight fight between former champion Max Holloway and the No. 3 ranked contender Yair Rodriguez.
