UFC Welterweights Nate Diaz And Leon Edwards Trade Insults
Nate Diaz and Leon Edwards are exchanging barbs.
Diaz hasn’t competed since his November 2, 2019 fight with Jorge Masvidal. That bout was contested for a special BMF Championship. Masvidal won the fight via third-round TKO after a doctor’s stoppage. The UFC is currently in talks with both men for a potential rematch.
News of the possible rematch hasn’t sat well with Edwards. “Rocky” has been calling for a bout with Masvidal to settle their feud. Diaz didn’t take too kindly to the gripes of Edwards.
You got fucked up in the back for acting like you were tight.
This fight shit is the same everywere, in or out of the cage… don’t get punked ever.
That goes for kabob also,
you guys are in last place now lol pic.twitter.com/DNuNLBNsj3— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) September 8, 2020

Diaz was referencing a backstage incident between Masvidal and Edwards in 2019. After the two exchanged words backstage, Masvidal punched Edwards. “Rocky” was quick to fire back at Diaz.

Many have been wondering what’s the status on the next fight for Edwards. He hasn’t been seen inside the Octagon since July 20, 2019. He was scheduled to take on Tyron Woodley in London earlier this year but the COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to that. Edwards is riding an eight-fight winning streak and he sits at the number three spot on the official UFC welterweight rankings.
