UFC White House Card Kept Secret, Announcement Incoming

Dana White is ensuring the June 14 UFC White House card doesn’t get leaked, but says it is done, as it will be announced this week.

White revealed that he has altered his matchmaking process to prevent the “board leaks” that have spoiled past fight announcements. While a full reveal is promised later this week, the UFC CEO is currently operating in secrecy. Instead of placing the planned matchups on the permanent office boards, the UFC now writes them and removes it.

Matchmaking also typically occurs once a week on Tuesdays. However, for the South Lawn event, White and his team have been meeting every single day for the past two weeks to finalize a card. White confirmed that while the card is “built,” the promotion has laid out two distinct versions of the event to present to President Donald Trump before the final selection is made.

“I’ll announce the whole card this week. The card is done. We’ve been so secretive about this. I’ve got boards, which I’m sure you’ve seen, hanging in our War Room. This isn’t even on the boards. We bring in a whiteboard, we write the fights down, and then erase them every time we have a matchmaking meeting. Usually, matchmaking meetings are every Tuesday. They’ve been every day for the past two weeks,” White said
