With the world of UFC and MMA fixing reasons to be excited about, there is some devastating news coming from BKFC.
The Bare Knuckle FC interim bantamweight champion Reggie Barnett Jr. was “missing or unidentified” by the police in Virginia beach.
Barnett’s family contacted the Virginia Beach PD on Monday when the American disappeared following mental health issues or self-harm hints.
Now, according to the latest updates, Barnett was found “alive and safe.”
It has not been publicly revealed as to where Barnett was found or where he was during his disappearance.
Krystal Martinez, Barnett’s fiancée, posted a video on Facebook recently. She suggested that the American was scheduled to be in attendance for the open-gym session but didn’t make it Sunday night.
According to Martinez, her fiancée was last seen at the local 7-Eleven store at around 6:15 p.m. EST on Sunday.
Martinez also stated that Barnett’s friends and family members tried to contact him without any luck whatsoever.
Police have reportedly started the investigation, using GPS to track Barnett’s cell phone.
The last time Barnett was seen in the ring was on July 23 at a BKFC Fight Night event. He won the promotion’s interim bantamweight title by beating Jarod Grant via a technical majority decision.
