Usman Undergoes Surgery For Double Hernia
The new UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman will remain on the shelf for a while after undergoing surgery this week.
Per MMA Junkie, Usman underwent a procedure at a Philadelphia hospital for a double hernia.
“I thought this was going to be like, I had knee surgery before, I thought this was going to be like that,” Usman said on Instagram. “This ain’t that at all. At all. This s**t different.”
There is no timetable for Usman’s first defense since his masterful performance against Tyron Woodley at UFC 235, but per his Instagram video, expect Colby Covington to be next in-line.
“I’ll be back in no time, and putting a beating on you know who,” Usman said.
