Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois had their weigh-in ahead of their heavyweight fight on August 26th, 2023, from the Tarczyński Arena, Wrocław, Poland.
Usyk arrives into the fight with consecutive wins over Anthony Joshua, as he defends his WBA, WBO and IBF titles. A win would increase the calls for an undisputed title fight with Tyson Fury.

As for Dubois, victory would disrupt those plans and give the Brit his first ever world title. And when it came to the scales, Dubois weighed in at his lightest for six years (233.2 lbs ), even if he was a stone heavier than Usyk.
As for the Ukrainian, he hit the scales at 220.9 lbs. With that being said, here was the reaction.
Reaction
“Maybe I’m not heavy like Daniel but I have different, I have heart,” Usyk
“Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who strengthens my hands for war and my fingers to fight. Amen,” Dubois
“We recognize what a great opportunity it is to take, and we have grown an extra pair of arms to seize the opportunity. One thing is for sure: the crowd doesn’t get into the ring. So all through camp, that’s part of the mental exercise that we’ve been doing. There’s a lot going for us. Usyk has a lot going for him; yes, he has with the experience he has and the masterful boxer that he is, but I really have a feeling. Not just a feeling. We’ve done the training to back up the feeling,” Don Charles (Dubois’ trainer)
