Oleksandr Usyk’s manager, Egis Kilmas, has slammed Tyson Fury’s decision to face Francis Ngannou on October 28th, 2023, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Gypsy King’s bout arrives in the aftermath of the breakdown in talks for an undisputed fight with Usyk.
Following Fury’s win over Dereck Chisora, the WBC champion and Usyk did face-off with each other, raising hopes for the fight.
Despite the Ukrainian agreeing to a 70-30 split for a fight in April at Wembley, the bout did not materialize.
In the aftermath, Usyk signed with the Saudi promotional company, Skills Challenge Entertainment, indicating his intention to get the fight made.
But any hopes of the fight happening soon are unlikely. After all, expecting Fury to fight in October as well as having a fight in December is unlikely, pushing back any hopes for the fight until 2024.
That did not go down well with Egis, who hit out at Fury.
The biggest joke on the planet for sure https://t.co/GDomvq7pGJ
