VanZant Interested In WWE Run

On the road to becoming one of the more popular fighters in the UFC, Paige VanZant’s appeal may lead her from the Octagon into the WWE.

VanZant, who is currently 4-3 in the UFC, has had some sharp ups and downs in her career, most recently breaking her arm in January at a UFC event in St. Louis.

As she rehabs and prepares for her return in January, VanZant spoke at a Web Summit in Portugal and shared the same bill as WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon.

“I’m not ready to leave the UFC just yet,” said VanZant of a potential move into pro wrestling. “I love being a professional fighter and I still have a long career ahead of me. I also think the WWE is an amazing organization and it’s a very athletic entertainment industry which would suit me. There’s probably huge potential for a crossover down the line and of course I’m a big fan of what they do, so it would be great to be a part of. I got the opportunity to talk to Stephanie for a little bit on Tuesday which was great.”

VanZant returns to the Octagon on the UFC’s debut on ESPN+ on January 19th against Rachael Ostovich at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, her first fight since her loss to Jessica-Rose Clark.
