Vargas Thinks He Can KO Broner

Adrien Broner has never been knocked out, and Jessie Vargas feels he’s the one that can do that.

Even though Broner has three career losses, he’s gone to the scorecards every time. When asked about his confidence heading into April 21st’s fight in Brooklyn, Vargas feels he can do what others couldn’t.

“I actually believe that if I find the right spot, the right moment and the right punch and land right on the chin that he will go down. I think there is a big possibility that he will go down but I am focused to fight a 12 round fight whether it is by knockout or decision I am coming out with the victory,” said Vargas.

Speaking with Boxing Scene last week, Vargas thinks that he’s been able to limit distractions and focus during training camp.

“I have better ethic. I know what I want. I am focused and determined and I have prepared myself for victory and have stayed away from any type of distractions. The focus I have plus the strength and the speed but the biggest key I would say is the mental focus and this man right here.”
