Vasiliy Lomachenko Struggling To Leave Ukraine Despite Having George Kambosos Fight In Sight
Vasiliy Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) wants to get out of Ukraine to have a shot at George Kambosos (20-0, 19 KOs).
Considering the situation in the country, it won’t be easy for him to leave the country and start a training camp in the United States.
Currently, Lomachenko cannot afford to stay in the country as it would keep him from all fighting activities, but on the flip side, it is very dangerous for him to leave the country.
Even if he makes his way to the US, it is likely that the 35-year-old is going to lose his focus based on the ongoing attacks by Russia in Ukraine.
According to the martial law imposed by the Ukraine government, men aged between 18 and 60 will not be allowed to leave Ukraine.
On the other hand, Kambosos is close to finding an agreement with promoter Lou DiBella for the title defense in Marvel Stadium.
If there is no news about his Ukrainian opponent leaving the country, the talks will intensify with Devin Haney.
