Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Masayoshi Nakatani Planned For Summer
Vasiliy Lomachenko could be fighting Masayoshi Nakatani next.
Lomachenko hasn’t been in action since his October loss to Teofimo Lopez. “Loma” lost the WBA (Super), WBO, The Ring, and WBC (Franchise) Titles via unanimous decision. He won’t be on the shelf for much longer if all goes according to plan.
ESPN is reporting that a Lomachenko vs. Nakatani bout is expected to headline a summer card. The bout is expected to air on the major ESPN network.
Back in February, Top Rank Boxing’s Bob Arum told iFL TV that he’s looking at potentially booking Lomachenko vs. Nakatani.

Nakatani was last seen in action back in December. He defeated Felix Verdejo via ninth-round stoppage. It was a big win for Nakatani, who was coming off a unanimous decision loss to Teofimo Lopez.
Lomachenko has a pro boxing record of 14-2 with 10 of those wins coming by way of knockout. Nakatani is 19-1 and has scored 13 of those victories via KO or TKO.
