The venue for Artur Beterbiev vs. Adam Deines is now known to the public.

Last week, the WBC revealed that Beterbiev has fully recovered from COVID-19. The sanctioning body also announced that Beterbiev vs. Deines has been rescheduled for March 20. Now, Top Rank Boxing has made it official.

The promotion announced that Beterbiev vs. Deines will take place inside Megasport Arena in Moscow, Russia. Beterbiev will be putting his WBC and IBF Light-Heavyweight Titles on the line.

Here’s what Beterbiev had to say about fighting Deines in Moscow through a Top Rank press release.

“I am excited to finally have a date for the fight. Now that COVID-19 and the injury are behind me, I am able to prepare well and put on a great show for boxing fans.”

Top Rank’s Bob Arum also discussed the long-awaited return of Beterbiev.

“At long last, Artur Beterbiev will defend his world titles as he looks to kick off his 2021 campaign in devastating fashion,” said Top Rank chairman Bob Arum. “We have big plans for Artur, but he must first take care of business in Moscow.”

Beterbiev hasn’t been in action since October 2019. He defeated Oleksandr Gvozdyk to capture the WBC gold. He did so via 10th-round TKO.

As for Deines, he’s been on the sidelines for even longer. His last outing took place in September 2019. Deines scored a knockout victory over Yevgenii Makhteienko.

Beterbiev sports a perfect pro boxing record of 15-0 going into his title defense against Deines. All 15 of those wins have come via knockout or TKO. Deines has a record of 19-1-1 with 10 knockouts to his credit.
