Vera Announces May ONE Heavyweight Title Defense
Since becoming the first ONE Heavyweight Champion back in 2015, Brandon Vera’s goal is to make ONE Championship the best that it can be. That includes challenging all fighters to take what he has fought to protect.
It was announced during ONE: Fire and Fury inside the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines that Vera (16-8, 1NC) will defend his ONE Heavyweight Championship on May 29 at a ONE event inside the same arena.
“That heavyweight title is ours,” Vera stated. “I am defending our belt May 29 here at MOA Arena. We have people challenging me, thinking they can take our belt from us. I encourage all our Filipino athletes to get on the card. May 29, lets’s show the world why the Philippines is awesome!”
