Victor Conte, who was infamously involved in a PED scandal, will have his Netflix documentary,’ Hall of Shame,’ released on August 15th, 2023.
Conte has undoubtedly forged a reputation for all the wrong reasons. In 2005, Conte was apprehended by the authorities on the grounds of trying to distribute steroids and money laundering.
His company, Bay Area Laboratory Cooperate [BALCO], founded in 1984, became the center of attention.
In response, Conte made a deal with the authorities as he spent four months behind bars and four months under house arrest.
After that, Conte spoke out against drug use, as he worked with some of the sport’s biggest names, including Devin Haney and Terence Crawford.
He is now known for his ‘Scientific Nutrition for Advanced Conditioning’ [SNAC] supplements which he founded in 1987. With that being said, the documentary will take a deep dive into Conte’s highs and lows.

“Victor Conte’s name is synonymous with the biggest doping scandal ever to rock the sports community, ensnaring top athletes such as baseball great Barry Bonds and track-and-field legends Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery.
“For 16 years, Conte claimed BALCO Laboratories, his supplement and nutrition company based in the Bay Area, never dabbled in illegal performance-enhancing drugs. But by 2000, he went to the dark side and became the go-to guy for athletes in search of steroids, fame, and world records.
“The film features interviews with several of Conte’s notable former associates — including Montgomery and the anti-doping and IRS authorities who helped send him to prison after a 42-count indictment — who give harrowing testimony as the legend of one of sports’ most notorious names continues to unfold,” synopsis
