VIDEO: Boxing Champion Claressa Shields Trains MMA With Jon Jones
Boxing champion Claressa Shields is working on her MMA skills with former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.
Jones is widely considered to be one of the best fighters in the history of pro MMA competition. He has amassed a record of 26-1, 1 NC. The one loss was a controversial disqualification back on December 5, 2009. Many believe the fight should’ve been stopped well before Jones landed the illegal 12-6 elbows as “Bones” was in total control and was battering his opponent.
It was recently announced that Shields has signed with PFL MMA. She will compete in non-season lightweight bouts in 2020. The hope is that Shields will be ready for the 2021 season.
Shield took to her Instagram account and showcased her drills at Jackson-Wink MMA with Jones.

“This transition isn’t one to be taken lightly. So much respect for Holly Holm already but even more that she came and did some kicking drills with me and just added knowledge as I go thru this process. Thank you champ.”
