Vito Mielnicki Jr. To Headline FOX Show On Christmas Night

FOX will televise live boxing on Christmas night as part of their deal with the Premier Boxing Champions.

A multi-fight card has reportedly been agreed for December 25 that will go down in Newark, New Jersey. Welterweight prospect Vito Mielnicki Jr. (9-1, 6 KOs) will feature in the main event, whereas the PBC are still on the look for this opponent.

In his last fight, Mielnicki Jr scored a TKO over Noah Kidd (6-4-2, 5 KOs) in the second round of a scheduled eight-rounder held in July.

Kidd had stepped in on 36-hour notice to replace James Martin, who turned up with a few extra pounds on the scale during the weigh-ins.

This was Mielnicki’s best shot to avenge his loss to Martin in an immediate rematch. Despite being the underdog, Martin defeated Mielnicki via majority decision on April 17.

The eight-round junior middleweight clash was aired live on Fox from the Shrine Auditorium & Exposition Center in Los Angeles.

PBC is under obligation to make a certain number of matchups in a calendar year. With one event remaining on their schedule, boxing fans will be able to enjoy it Christmas which falls on a Saturday this year.
