Viviane Pereira Signs With Invicta FC
Viviane Pereira is now competing for Invicta FC immediately after parting ways with UFC.
The 24-year-old strawweight fighter recently parted ways with UFC, whom she’s been fighting for since the end of 2016, and signed on to compete for the all-women’s MMA promotion, according to a report from MMA Fighting.
Pereira announced last week on social media that she is not competing for UFC after completing a four-fight deal for UFC. Pereira signed with UFC back in 2016 when she sported an 11-0 record as a pro at the time. Since signing with the UFC, Pereira won two of her last four fights, last competing in June when she lost a unanimous decision to Xiaonan Yan. In her Octagon debut, Pereira scored a win over former title contender Valerie Letourneau by split decision.
At this moment, there is no scheduled date for her debut fight in Invicta. Before competing in the UFC, Pereira fought the entirety of her pro career in her native country of Brazil, winning a number of titles on smaller promotions there.
