Wahlberg-DAZN To Produce 40 Days GGG-Rolls
A week away from Gennady Golovkin’s return to action against Steve Rolls, DAZN has announced a new multi-series partnership with Mark Wahlberg’s Unrealistic Ideas brand and Peter Berg’s Film 45 label, beginning with a new edition of their 40 Days series focused on GGG-Rolls.
“As a longtime boxing fan, I am excited to be partnering with DAZN to highlight Gennady and his unique approach leading up to a fight,” said Wahlberg.
Golovkin will fight for the first time since losing the unified middleweight titles in September of last year, making his DAZN debut against the undefeated Rolls, in the first of a multi-fight, eight-figure deal between Golovkin and the Endeavor owned OTT service.
“It takes a lot of hard work to put on the Big Drama Show,” said Golovkin. “40 DAYS was in training camp from start to finish. Boxing fans will see it all, as Johnathon Banks and I prepare for war at the Mecca of Boxing, Madison Square Garden.”
This marks the third in the 40 DAYS series, with the first focusing on Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s UNINTERRUPTED, the second being for this weekend’s Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr. fight produced by Meek Mill and Jay-Z’ Roc Nation.
