Warrington Drops, Finishes Takouchat
It didn’t take long at all for Josh Warrington to make a third defense of the IBF featherweight championship, as he finished off Sofiane Takoucht early in their title fight that took place in his hometown of Leeds, England.
Warrington basically took it right to Takouchat early, backing him up and rocking him with body shots right before the end of the first round. That set things up for a quick ending in the second round, which began and ended with domination by “the Leeds Warrior.”
Warrington dropped Takoucht midway through the second round, and then again about 20 seconds later. Takoucht attempted to survive the round with a lot of clinching, but another powerful combination from Warrington caused him to spin across the ring and forced the referee to step in.
