WATCH: Anderson Silva Talks Boxing, McGregor

Long before Conor McGregor began lobbying for a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, MMA legend Anderson Silva wanted to step into the ring with boxing great Roy Jones Jr.

Though that fight failed to materialized, Silva still wishes he had been able to realize that dream and he spoke about it ahead of his UFC 208 fight with Derek Brunson.

Silva also discussed McGregor, who he has recently said that he wants to face in the cage. Unlike others calling the Irish star out, "The Spider" says that his desire to fight McGregor stems from a respect for the lightweight champion’s striking skills rather than an attempted money grab.
