Whenever Mike Tyson is now shown on camera, the world stops what it is doing to focus on the former champion. With his recent announcement, he has ensured that it is a guarantee.
Tyson (50-6, 2 NC) expressed a desire to return to the boxing ring. Retiring in 2005, the former heavyweight champion is looking to compete in exhibition bouts for charity. Recently, Tyson has looked as fit as he was in his glory days. Thanks to stem cell treatment, Tyson has gone from over 300 to about 230 pounds. He decided to show off his power and speed in a new video.
This is not the first time Tyson has showcased his skills. On his Weibo account, “Iron” Mike showed off what he can do in just a short period of time. In his initial video where he said “I’m Back”, Tyson was seen hitting the pads at an abnormal rate.
At 53, Tyson has proven he is ready to take on all comers. He has been working with Kings MMA’s Rafael Cordeiro over the past few weeks. Becoming the youngest heavyweight champion at 20, Tyson has held the WBC, WBA, IBF, and lineal Heavyweight Championship at one point.
As far as an opponent, it is unsure when one will be announced. Announcing his comeback as well, Evander Holyfield ha been using training videos to show how ready he is for his return. “The Real Deal” stated he would be interested in fighting Tyson for the third time.
Stay tuned as Tyson could announce his first opponent since 2005 at any point.
