Before he became a double champion with the UFC, before he faced Floyd Mayweather and before he started his own brand of whiskey, a 24-year-old Conor McGregor was just a rising star coming out of Ireland.
A product of Cage Warriors, winning the company’s Lightweight and Featherweight Titles, McGregor (22-4) had a lot of hype to his name when the UFC signed him in 2013. On April 6 in Stockholm, Sweden, McGregor faced off against Marcus Brimage. He ended up winning the bout via TKO in round one.
