WATCH: Cyborg Calls Out Nunes

After her successful defense at UFC 222 against Yana Kunitskaya, Cris Cyborg is taking aim at fellow UFC champion, Amanda Nunes.

Talking with TMZ this week, the UFC featherweight champion claims that she’s more than willing to take a fight with Nunes, after being wishy-washy on the issue prior to before UFC 222.

“If she’s calling me out she has to prepare herself,” Cyborg said.

Nunes, who may be in line for a title defense in the next few months, has wanted a fight with Cyborg for some time, and believes the “superfight” should happen. Cyborg agrees with the idea of a Superfight, as she wants to fight Nunes on the UFC 226 card, featuring Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier battling for the UFC heavyweight title.

Cyborg confirmed with TMZ that if the two were to fight, it would need to be in July.

“[Nunes] should defend her (135-pound) belt, but if not, OK, we’ll fight in July.”
