WATCH: Intense Staredown Between Vasiliy Lomachenko & Teofimo Lopez At Weigh-ins
Vasiliy Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez went face-to-face before fight night and it was just as intense as you would imagine.
On Saturday night, October 17, Lomachenko and Lopez will share the boxing ring in a title unification clash. Lomachenko’s WBA (Super), WBO, and WBC (Franchise) Lightweight Championships will be on the line. Lopez will defend his IBF gold.
The weigh-ins have taken place and fight fans will be pleased to know that there wasn’t a scale fail for this highly-anticipated tilt. Both Lomachenko and Lopez weighed in at 135 pounds. This makes their title bout official.
There has been no shortage of bad blood going into this bout. Lopez and his father have had a lot to say about Lomachenko. They have even hurled accusations of fear towards one of the pound-for-pound best boxers in the sport today.
