Watch: Khabib Nurmagomedov Controls Luke Rockhold In Grappling

Khabib Nurmagomedov dominated against Luke Rockhold in grappling.

At the American Kickboxing Academy, Nurmagomedov was holding Rockhold on the ground from the side control and did not give the former middleweight champion any chance to escape.

“Don’t get too comfortable, Khabib,” Rockhold said.

Nurmagomedov responded, “I just miss you, I hug you brother.”

Unlike the former lightweight champion, Rockhold says he wants to be back inside the octagon. He does not want to be another contender; he believes he can be the champion and wants to fight with middleweight king Israel Adesanya.

He suffered several losses in his latest fights, for example, in the light heavyweight division against Jan Blachowicz, but he still believes he can do it.

“I want to show that I can fight at 185 and be a challenger for the belt,” Rockhold said.

“That’s the only reason I’m here. That’s the only reason I’m coming back is because I want to fight Israel, because I want to fight for the championship. I want to make a run at this thing and I know I can.”
