WATCH: Masvidal Prep Knee Of Doom Prior To UFC 239
UFC 239 was a night of major knockouts, but none more impressive than Jorge Masvidal’s devastating flying knee to the head of Ben Askren at the start of their welterweight showdown.
Many were surprised that Masvidal came out of the gate with the video-game like knee, but Masvidal’s coach, Mike Brown, would release a video that shed a little light on how prepared the “Gamebred” fighter was.

The existence of the video would first be revealed by interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier, who watched it while out to dinner with Masvidal and Brown on Friday night.
Mike brown and masvidal told me last night at dinner he was gonna Start this fight with a flying knee and showed me video on Mike's phone of him practicing

Poirier would also send a text message to an unidentified person before the start of the UFC 239 main card telling them that Masvidal was calling his shot in the opening moments.

The one who learned about this tactic when it was too late, Ben Askren, he only had three words to say.
Well that sucked
