The hard part is over, as all fighters competing in title fights at UFC 251 made weight. That includes Jorge Masvidal, who came into the fight on less than ten day’s notice. He will be fighting Kamaru Usman for the latter’s UFC Welterweight Title. Now, the waiting game begins for July 11.
Masvidal and Usman have been rumored to fight one another since February when the two were involved in a brawl at Super Bowl media day. With both calling one another out several times before the fight, will we see some drama at the weigh-in faceoffs?
This will also be the first time we see Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway face off since the former beat Holloway for the UFC Featherweight Title at UFC 245 in December. Finally, will Petr Yan or Jose Aldo play mind games with one another prior to their bout for the vacant UFC Bantamweight Title?
Check out the above video at 11 a.m. ET to see if there will be some drama added to UFC 251. “Fight Island” events will be held on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
