WATCH: UFC On ESPN+ 33 Weigh-in Staredowns

The UFC on ESPN+ 33 weigh-ins have concluded, which means the staredowns have commenced.

This Saturday, August 29, another event will take place inside the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, light heavyweights Anthony Smith and Aleksandar Rakic will collide. In his last outing, Smith was stopped by Glover Teixeira via fifth-round TKO. Rakic is coming off a split decision loss to Volkan Oezdemir.

The co-main event will see a clash between former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler and Neil Magny. Magny was initially set to fight Geoff Neal but Neal had a major health scare that forced him off the card. Lawler has dropped his last three fights and is in search of a victory. Magny is on the opposite track as he wants to snag his third victory in a row.

Also on tap for the event will be women’s flyweight action. Alexa Grasso will go toe-to-toe with Ji Yeon Kim. Grasso suffered a majority decision loss to former UFC Strawweight Champion Carla Esparza back on September 21, 2019. Yeon Kim is coming off a knockout win over Nadia Kassem.

Fight fans will also be treated to a featherweight fracas between Ricardo Lamas and Bill Algeo. Lamas was on the receiving end of a knockout loss at the hands of Calvin Kattar back on June 8, 2019. As for Algeo, this will be his UFC debut. He’s fresh off a unanimous decision victory over Tim Dooling on August 13.

The main card will open up with a matchup between two light heavyweight bulls. Magomed Ankalaev will go one-on-one with Ion Cutelaba. The two competed back in February but the bout ended in controversial fashion. Ankalaev was awarded the TKO win in 38 seconds but the general consensus is that the fight was stopped too soon.

Below you will see the UFC on ESPN+ 33 staredowns.
