WATCH: Wild Flip During John Salter Instructional Video
A gold medalist in submission wrestling, John Salter knows a thing or two about ground defense. He also knows how to make a pretty funny instructional video, whether intentional or not.
Training at Salty Dog Jiu-Jitsu, Salter (17-4), who has nine wins via submission, was attempting to explain how you can’t just stand up out of a submission. Stating it was impossible, Salter used two fighters as an example. While the two proved his point, a group in the back apparently didn’t listen. A fighter lifts someone and back suplexes him down to the mat.
You can check out the video below:
John Salter keeps it ๐ฏ when it comes to the "just stand up" defense.

I see that a lot of coaches are putting out technique videos with so many gyms closing so we will be releasing some of our older, unbeatable technique videos over the next few days. pic.twitter.com/ZikEPPXvab
