WBC Bans Ryan Garcia Following Racial Slurs On X

The WBC has banned Ryan Garcia following his controversial comments on X.

Garcia is currently banned for one year after testing positive for Ostarine. His victory against Devin Haney was turned into a no-contest. Garcia has previously been away from the sport for around two years with mental health struggles following his win over Luke Campbell. There are worries that Garcia may go on a downward spiral.

His father, Henry Garcia, has publicly called for his son to enter therapy. Garcia’s following posts have also raised serious concerns. It is alleged he made disparaging comments towards African Americans, George Floyd, Mexicans and Muslims along with other groups. While those tweets have been removed, Garcia has received backlash.
