WBC Orders Dillian Whyte & Luis Ortiz Eliminator

Luis Ortiz may get a second chance to face Deontay Wilder, and Dillian Whyte gets another chance to fight for a world title, as the WBC has ordered the two to face off in a final eliminator.

Originally reported by Boxing Scene, the two have been ordered to face off, with the winner becoming the mandatory challenger to Wilder, who awaits a unification battle with IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO champion Anthony Joshua.

Whyte retained his WBC silver heavyweight title when he knocked out Lucas Browne, when the two faced of last month in London. While Ortiz is looking to get revenge for his first career loss against Wilder in March for the WBC title.

There is a purse bid set for May 25th in Mexico City – and if the contest heads to a purse bid the split will be 50-50.
