WBSS Cruiserweight Tournament To Be Replayed From The Beginning
Following a successful heavyweight and middleweight tournament for the eWBSS, World Boxing Super Series will be showcasing the original format for the Ali Trophy with the 2017-2018 WBSS Cruiserweight Tournament.
The second-season of the tournament, featuring Yunier Dorticos and Mairis Briedis in the finals, has been postponed due to the coronavirus. For a refresher, here are the athletes that competed in the initial tournament:

Here is the schedule for the bouts, taking place today, April 13 at 2 p.m. ET/7 p.m. GMT:

- Monday, April 13: v. Oleksandr Usyk v. Marco Huck
- Tuesday, April 14: Yuniel Dorticos v. Dmitry Kudryashov
- Wednesday, April 15: Mairis Briedis v. Mike Perez
- Thursday, April 16: Murat Gassiev v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
- Semi-Finals – Friday, April 17: Usyk v. Briedis
- Semi-Finals – Saturday, April 18: Gassiev v. Dorticos
- Finals – Sunday, April 19: Usyk v. Gassiev
Usyk ended up winning the whole tournament with a unanimous decision win over Murat Gassiev. He then moved onto heavyweight, where he hopes to get a title opportunity. All events will be live-streamed on Facebook.
In the finals of the eWBSS heavyweight tournament, Mike Tyson took down Muhammad Ali. In the middleweight tournament, Sugar Ray Robinson beat Ronald ‘Winky’ Wright.
