Weidman-Mousasi Set for UFC 210

Former middleweight champion Chris Weidman will take on Gegard Mousasi at UFC 210, the promotion announced on Thursday. Weidman is looking to bounce back from two brutal losses, while Mousasi is riding the momentum of four wins in 2016.

Weidman (13-2) last fought at UFC 205 in November, where he was viciously knocked out in the third round of his main card fight with Yoel Romero. It was a particularly heartbreaking loss for the former champ, who was looking to get himself back in title contention and was competing in front of his home crowd.

He had previously lost his middleweight belt to Luke Rockhold in December of 2015, taking a hellacious beating in the third round before being stopped in the fourth.

Mousasi has rebounded from a 2015 loss to Uriah Hall by winning four straight in 2016, including three finishes in a row. He defeated Thales Leites, Thiago Santos and Vitor Belfort before steamrolling Hall to avenge his last loss.

UFC 210 takes place at the Key Bank Center in Buffalo, New York. No main event has been announced yet, as Weidman vs. Mousasi is the first confirmed matchup.
