What Does Mike Perry Have To Say About Recent Actions?

The past month has been a wild ride for Mike Perry, who is looking to better himself for his own sake as well as his new family.

In a video released on social media, Perry (14-6) was seen a few weeks ago being told to leave a restaurant in Lubbock, Texas after getting into an altercation with someone. He told the patrons to call the police as he went on a screaming tirade. An older man tried to get him to leave, and with Perry thinking he was mocking him, stated, “I’ll knock your old a** out” before landing a punch that appeared to knock the man down. He later yelled racial slurs while being told to calm down.

Reports are also saying he struck three other individuals. Perry has since gone on social media to discuss his actions. Recently announcing he and his girlfriend Latory Gonzalez were going to have a baby, Perry posted the following on Twitter:

“I want to be a better role model for my family. For my unborn son. My Queen @latory_g and for myself so I can earn the respect I deserve. To my sponsors and my bosses at @ufc I want to apologize for how my actions have impacted our relationships. I will be better all around #Oss

The UFC would act quickly following the video release by stating that Perry would not be offered a fight until he seeks professional help for alcohol abuse.

Perry is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Mickey Gall back in June. He is 2-2 in his last four fights. Perry is also dealing with another controversial issue, as his ex-wife is opening up about being denied a protective order against him regarding physical violence against her.
